Alphabet City

The problem with a line based on basics is that one can only get excited about so many seasons before it starts all running together in one's head. I find that A.P.C. has this distinct yawn-inducing problem, especially when it comes to their women's collection. The men's collection fares a little bit better, I guess because everyday men's fashion IS about the basics. I must admit that a really great peacoat or duffle coat really makes the man. It just pulls the look together, even if you're just wearing a t-shirt and jeans underneath. Above, the 2 best looks from A.P.C. S/S10 men's collection. The mix of black and navy is always de rigueur. One of those unexpected elements that I spoke about.
